Medical bills are sensitive. Our principle is simple: collect as little as possible, never sell your data, and never train AI models on it.
1. What we process
When you upload a document, we process its contents only to produce your analysis: we extract the printed line items (codes, descriptions, charges) and compare them to public benchmark data. We don't require an account, a name, or an email to use the core tool.
2. How long we keep it
Uploaded documents are processed transiently to generate your result and are not stored on our serversafterward. We can't lose, leak, sell, or be compelled to hand over a file we don't keep.
3. Case history stays on your device
Your “recent analyses” are saved only in your browser's local storage on your own device. They never reach our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
4. Service providers
To read documents we use an AI processing provider. We use it under terms that prohibit using your data to train models and require zero data retention. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. We minimize what we handle and apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to sensitive health information.
6. A note on HIPAA
When you use Reclaim as an individual reviewing your own bills, you are not a HIPAA-covered entity, and Reclaim acts as your tool. If we offer services to covered entities in the future, we will enter into Business Associate Agreements as required.
7. Your choices
You can delete your local case history at any time from the home screen. For questions or requests about your data, contact us below.
8. Children
The Service isn't directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
